Overview

Mimora is designed with privacy as a core principle. We believe your data belongs to you, and we've built our extension to ensure it stays that way.

Data Collection

We do not collect any personal data.

Mimora operates entirely within your browser. Here's what that means:

• No data is sent to our servers
• No analytics or tracking
• No accounts or sign-ups required
• No third-party services

How Mimora Works

Mimora monitors the DOM (Document Object Model) of supported AI chat websites to detect conversation states. This is done entirely locally in your browser:

• It detects when you're typing (listening state)
• It detects when the AI is generating a response (thinking state)
• It detects when a response is complete

All of this processing happens on your device. Your conversations are never read, stored, or transmitted anywhere.

Local Storage

Mimora stores your preferences (selected avatar, display mode, plugin settings) using Chrome's local storage API. This data:

• Stays on your device
• Is never synced or uploaded
• Can be cleared by uninstalling the extension

Weather Plugin

If you enable the Weather plugin and grant location permission, Mimora will use your approximate location to fetch weather data. This request goes directly to a weather API — we don't see or store your location.

Permissions

Mimora requests only the minimum permissions needed:

• Active tab: To detect conversation states on AI chat websites
• Storage: To save your preferences locally
• Geolocation (optional): Only if you enable the Weather plugin
